Tony Whitbread’s talk takes the form of an ecological journey through Sussex’s remarkable collection of nature reserves. It will help to show our place in the globe, if not the solar system, in terms of geology, hydrology and climate.

Tony Whitbread

Tony is a nationally known speaker on ecological issues. He has worked for the Nature Conservancy Council, the Royal Society for Nature Conservation (RSNC) and was CEO of the Sussex Wildlife Trust for over a decade. As a conservation advocate he was an important promoter for the creation of both the South Downs National Park and the Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre (holding nature data important for informing planning decisions).
